Age of Feudalism
The political organization of Europe during the Middle Ages was feudalism. Feudalism is the relationship between a lord and his vassal. During the Middle Ages lords and vassals had great relationships. They had many obligations towards each other. The obligations of the vassal to his lord was, "Loyalty, Military service, and Ransom, if needed."(Doc 4). While the obligations of the lord to the vassal were, "protection and land(fief)." (Doc 4). This demonstrates the great relationships of the lord and vassals by showing that they have equal obligations towards each other. They both offer protection to the other. The lord to the vassal in any way he can and the vassal to the lord with his military services. This great relationship between lords and vassals represents the age of feudalism that the Middle Ages was made of.
